I am back… and damn I have missed me
Over the last few weeks I have been going out, hanging with friends and just having a good time. I have seen Drew more in the last two weeks then I had in the last 3 months. It was when I was with Drew at DWI that I was once again being myself and happy, and it felt good to be me. I even got Rob to go out this weekend it was great. Kate I cursed you last week, I REALLY wanted to go out and get beer and I was striking out with all my boys and Rob was giving me the stink eye about all my options being boys and I was like “damn you Kate why did you have to go and move on me!!!” but that is ok he got over it. Being me is good. I am looking forward to having 2 weeks off from school (even though I will be working at school) and the start of the new quarter.

Friday Night Another DWI
DWI was a blast as always. I can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard my side hurt. Free drinks, free laughs, meeting and hanging out with really fun people and at one point I twisted my ankle but frankly it was well worth it. I can’t wait to do it again. :)
The list of things I don't miss about working in TV is truthfully endless, the list of things I do miss is very short and near to the top if not the top of that list is Ian. I loved playing his show, I love the concept behind the show and I miss him coming in to drop off new shows and brightening the end of my day.

this week doesn't count...
It counts… just not as far as the diet is concerned. We had an awesome weekend. And the weather was UNbelievable! It was sunny and warm we couldn’t have asked for more. Sunday we lazed around the house and watched NASCAR. Sunday evening we started our First Anniversary celebration a day early. We went out and had crab and lobster with the folks at a very nice restaurant in
as great we broke record temps and it was sunny. Rob and I decided to spend our anniversary shopping and antiquing. We found a telephone table to replace the one I “tried” to refinish, for only $20. We washed my car and then had the most fantanbulous dinner at this restaurant The Texas Roadhouse. OH MY GOD the food was amazing. They give you bread so fresh when you sit down it’s hot (not warm, HOT) to the touch, the steak I ordered melted, the catfish Rob had was crispy and very well seasoned, the waitress was a hoot and they did a line dance before we left. I had a beer, a loaded potato, a salad and a country fried sirloin steak, Rob had a beer, a cup of chili, steak fries and catfish ALL for under $40. We now know why there is always a line out the door for that place.

My weekend!
Friday things started out kinda sucky, I found one of my favorite fish dead in the big tank. So I spent my morning getting the dead fish out and testing the water to see why my favorite fish was dead. At 11:45 I went and got my hair done. Bridget did a fabulous job. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my hair. If you live in the northern suburbs go see her at Jordan a salon/spa in Coon Rapids. She was a kick and a half, just what I needed after a traumatic morning. Back home I treated the issues in the big tank and started getting myself ready for my big night. I was excited, I did my nails like 4 times, tried on 6 different outfits. By the time Rob got home I was ready to burst out the door. We decided to have dinner at T.G.I Friday's, it was good... it was Friday's. We left for downtown at 7pm so we could have enough time to find parking. There was a t-wolves game that night as well. We find the LAST parking space in the lot behind First Ave but we still had 20 minutes before the doors open and an hour and 20 before the show started. We went across the street to Starbucks in Block E. We waited there before the DWI show last month. At 8:02 we go to the Entry... we are the first ones there. I felt like a dork but we got a table and I got my beer. Not 5 minutes later my buddies Shane and Mark came out. It was so good to see them, God knows I missed hanging out with the guys. Shane sat and talked to us for a good bit of time before the show. It was trippy watching the guys play again. It was cool catching up. Really cool. The show was great as well. But I didn't have any doubts. Rob ended up having a great time and kinda dug the music. After that I really think Rob understood why I was so eager to go. I can't wait until we can do that again. Shane has some shows coming up with his band, I am hoping we can make it to a few of those. And to make it an even greater night... I got to drink beer. Mmmmmm beer.
Saturday and Sunday weren’t all that exciting. We watched NASCAR and waited for the snow storm from hell to appear. And that it did. We got a foot and a half of nice heavy wet snow. But I didn’t have to work therefore I didn’t have to drive in all that. Mom did. She made it home in one piece.

Ok... so tonight I am going to a taping of my FAVORITE SHOW that we air at SPNN (I know it's cable access but it's fucking GREAT!!) if you haven't seen the show you should look it up. The taping is at the 7th street entry. I haven't been there is ages and frankly I miss the place. I have a lot of great memories there.
And to add to my good mood I found out this week that two of my buddies from Helva are playing there on the 23rd of feb This time with the band Kingfiled. What sucks is Rob can't go with me, he has to work that night. I am taking a half day off from work so I can go but Rob doesn't really like the music so it hard to justify him taking time off work. Well Rob didn't like the idea of me walking around downtown on a Friday night by myself so he wanted me to find someone to go with me, so I am going with my second favorite guy in the world my buddy Bill. Bill is like me, he is willing to see almost any band live even if he is not a big fan. His wife is like my husband if they don't like the band or even the kind of music the band plays they don't want to bother. So Bill and I agreed that if there was something we wanted to see and the spouse didn't want to go we would be plan B for each other. It's nice to have friends like that.
The last time I was in the Main Room it SUCKED I was getting groped by a total stranger and every time I tried to put my "closeted gay ex-bf" between me and the guy feeling me up by standing in front of my bf to face him to tell him, my bf just pushed me back towards the guy and said "I'm listening to the music" and did nothing to help me. It wasn't until I told his roommate and his girlfriend what was going on did anyone help me. When we got outside I was hysterical I couldn't understand A)why the guy wouldn't stop touching me and B)why didn't my jackass CGXBF do anything to help me. The roommates girlfriend was hugging me because I was shaking so hard and the roommate went and got security told them what happend and had the guy kicked out. The whole time CGXBF thought I was being over dramatic.
But my life is good now. Great husband, great friends, and good music what more can a girl ask for :)
