My weekend!

Friday things started out kinda sucky, I found one of my favorite fish dead in the big tank. So I spent my morning getting the dead fish out and testing the water to see why my favorite fish was dead. At 11:45 I went and got my hair done. Bridget did a fabulous job. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my hair. If you live in the northern suburbs go see her at Jordan a salon/spa in Coon Rapids. She was a kick and a half, just what I needed after a traumatic morning. Back home I treated the issues in the big tank and started getting myself ready for my big night. I was excited, I did my nails like 4 times, tried on 6 different outfits. By the time Rob got home I was ready to burst out the door. We decided to have dinner at T.G.I Friday's, it was good... it was Friday's. We left for downtown at 7pm so we could have enough time to find parking. There was a t-wolves game that night as well. We find the LAST parking space in the lot behind First Ave but we still had 20 minutes before the doors open and an hour and 20 before the show started. We went across the street to Starbucks in Block E. We waited there before the DWI show last month. At 8:02 we go to the Entry... we are the first ones there. I felt like a dork but we got a table and I got my beer. Not 5 minutes later my buddies Shane and Mark came out. It was so good to see them, God knows I missed hanging out with the guys. Shane sat and talked to us for a good bit of time before the show. It was trippy watching the guys play again. It was cool catching up. Really cool. The show was great as well. But I didn't have any doubts. Rob ended up having a great time and kinda dug the music. After that I really think Rob understood why I was so eager to go. I can't wait until we can do that again. Shane has some shows coming up with his band, I am hoping we can make it to a few of those. And to make it an even greater night... I got to drink beer. Mmmmmm beer.

Saturday and Sunday weren’t all that exciting. We watched NASCAR and waited for the snow storm from hell to appear. And that it did. We got a foot and a half of nice heavy wet snow. But I didn’t have to work therefore I didn’t have to drive in all that. Mom did. She made it home in one piece.

Ahhh

After two solid weeks of not having a mistake free night I FINALLY had one. I have no idea what the hell was wrong, it's like every night something would fall out of my brain. I would come in the next day and I would hear "you loaded this backwards" or "you forgot to put ?????? in the schedule for today" . So I am praying that the spell is broken. I was starting to question my master control abilities. I mean I know I can be a flake sometimes…. But two weeks???

I need a vacation! I almost get one. I have Friday-Monday off.

Ok… back a few posts I told ya'll about how I was SO happy to be going to see Kingfield with my Music Buddy Bill. Well on Monday I was gathering my Mickey Mouse Platys ..

to take them to World of Fish to get credit so I could get more guppies. I had left a message with a hair stylist that my mom had recommended. You see I planned on getting all gussied up for Friday (almost like a real date if I wasn't married and going out with a married man) plus I haven't seen the guys in the band for about 8 years, and I needed an excuse to color my hair. So I had to find my cell phone incase Rob (the stylist not the hubby) called me back. When I found the phone I had a voice mail. I call thinking it's Rob giving me an appointment. It wasn't… it was Bill… telling me he has to go to Omaha (of all places) Friday night and can't go to the show with me. NOOOOOOOO!!!!! I only really wanted to go to the show with Bill. He WANTED to go. We were looking forward to hanging out... drinking beer... bonding... and seeing a good show. Hanging out with my boy. But no. I was so depressed that even getting a $50 credit for my Mickey's and 6 new fishes wasn't helping. It was noon and the stylist still hadn't called me back and I was getting down right pissy. Then my Hubby tells me that his work has changed his schedule this week and he will be home 5ish on Friday. "Great!" I yelled... "you can go to the show with me!!!!" He doesn't want to go, he isn't interested in the music but he is going because he loves me. Ok.. so I solved one problem but I still want to get my hair done. Tuesday morning and the stylist STILL hadn't called so I decided to just call the salon down the street, it will cost me more but they answered the phone and gave me an appointment. 26 hours after I called Rob the stylist called me back and said "Heather how does noon work for you" I said I was sorry but I had already made an appointment elsewhere.
The moral of this story is... Bill owes me beer for ditching me... My hubby is willing to insult his ears for me... and if you don't call me back I will take my business somewhere where they answer the phone.

On a REALLY good note Rob and I have been on the South Beach Diet for a bit now and I am down 11 pounds!!! YAY me!!!!!

Ok... so tonight I am going to a taping of my FAVORITE SHOW that we air at SPNN (I know it's cable access but it's fucking GREAT!!) if you haven't seen the show you should look it up. The taping is at the 7th street entry. I haven't been there is ages and frankly I miss the place. I have a lot of great memories there.
And to add to my good mood I found out this week that two of my buddies from Helva are playing there on the 23rd of feb This time with the band Kingfiled. What sucks is Rob can't go with me, he has to work that night. I am taking a half day off from work so I can go but Rob doesn't really like the music so it hard to justify him taking time off work. Well Rob didn't like the idea of me walking around downtown on a Friday night by myself so he wanted me to find someone to go with me, so I am going with my second favorite guy in the world my buddy Bill. Bill is like me, he is willing to see almost any band live even if he is not a big fan. His wife is like my husband if they don't like the band or even the kind of music the band plays they don't want to bother. So Bill and I agreed that if there was something we wanted to see and the spouse didn't want to go we would be plan B for each other. It's nice to have friends like that.
The last time I was in the Main Room it SUCKED I was getting groped by a total stranger and every time I tried to put my "closeted gay ex-bf" between me and the guy feeling me up by standing in front of my bf to face him to tell him, my bf just pushed me back towards the guy and said "I'm listening to the music" and did nothing to help me. It wasn't until I told his roommate and his girlfriend what was going on did anyone help me. When we got outside I was hysterical I couldn't understand A)why the guy wouldn't stop touching me and B)why didn't my jackass CGXBF do anything to help me. The roommates girlfriend was hugging me because I was shaking so hard and the roommate went and got security told them what happend and had the guy kicked out. The whole time CGXBF thought I was being over dramatic.
And to think I stayed with him after that ... I must have been cracked in the head.

But my life is good now. Great husband, great friends, and good music what more can a girl ask for :)
