Good times

We got snow. I love fresh untouched snow, it is so pretty.

I got to dissect a rat in class, that was cool as hell.

I went out for drinks with Bill, last time we had beers was in June. We need to try put less time between when we hang out. We went to one of my favorite bars the Dubliner. Always a good time when live Irish music is involved. I managed to make it home with no police participation

I applied for a job at a vet clinic, everyone keep your paws crossed for me. (see that…I made a funny)

Today I had a hair appointment and Hair Rob did wonders on me. I just love what he does with my hair.

all-righty then

We had 3 days that were sunny and WAY above freezing and we STILL don't have a front walk way. I did finally hear from the HOA and they did in fact change the contract with the snow removal people. She wrote "it would have been prudent to inform the home owners but we didn't foresee 30 inches of snow in a week" what one has to do with the other is beyond me. They changed what would be the owners responsibilities and we should be inform of such changes REGARDLESS of getting ANY snow let alone 30 inches of snow in one week. A week mind you that finding a snow shovel was harder then finding a sponge bob kiddie pool.

And here is why....

You see I had planned on a post today that outlined how I came to the conclusion that my ex-boyfriend is in fact my closeted-gay-ex-boyfriend. You see I find it an amusing story and with the crappy weather I wanted to tell a funny story.

But no, because I am depressed.

When I came into work today all the planning ahead for the crappy weather my boss and I did yesterday was all for not. Two thirds of our shows didn't run right. So we might as well have just turned the machines off and would have had the same result. SO that sucked. Then at 2:45 I read Kate’s blog. She is moving to Oklahoma. (O-K-L-A-H-O-M-A Oklahoma O-K) And this is a good thing… but also sucks. You see after 8-9 years of stubbornness we started talking again and have gone out a few times for beers. We are both in really good places in our lives and it has been so cool reconnecting. And now she is leaving for my birth-state to be with a cool Nebraska born Navy boy. I am over the moon happy for her, but selfishly I don’t want to see her go. Mostly because I made a pact never to back to Oklahoma again and now I may have to break that.

So CONGRATULATIONS KATE… there better be a party!

even more snow

Here is our front door, front porch and walk. what you don't see out there are the 3 sets of steps taking you down to the sidewalk.

it's a good thing we don't use this door, because apparently the members of the Home owner Ass. decided we didn't need it this season but failed to notify any of the HOME OWNERS!. I have sent a number of emails and have had no responce. I am strating to get a LITTLE PISSED off. The only shovel we own is a little plastic orange kiddie shovel I got from my folks AGES ago.

To add insult to injury this morning when we got up the heat wasn't working. Apparntly it shuts it's self down if the outside vent gets covered in snow. So Rob when to the side of the house with the kiddie shovel and dug out the vent so we could have heat and he did this before his first cup of coffee. Me on the other had was hoping the heat was dead so I could call into work.

more snow

Today I love my boss. He had me set things up so we could be out by 330. I was out by 3. It took me an hour and a half to get home. Rob still won’t get out of work until 7. Who knows what the weather will be up to or how long it will take him. He tends not to take the highways home.

Rob has tomorrow off but I still have to go to work. I don’t think the drive is going to be any better.

winter

I fucking hate snow and I fucking HATE minnesota drivers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My weekend!

Friday things started out kinda sucky, I found one of my favorite fish dead in the big tank. So I spent my morning getting the dead fish out and testing the water to see why my favorite fish was dead. At 11:45 I went and got my hair done. Bridget did a fabulous job. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my hair. If you live in the northern suburbs go see her at Jordan a salon/spa in Coon Rapids. She was a kick and a half, just what I needed after a traumatic morning. Back home I treated the issues in the big tank and started getting myself ready for my big night. I was excited, I did my nails like 4 times, tried on 6 different outfits. By the time Rob got home I was ready to burst out the door. We decided to have dinner at T.G.I Friday's, it was good... it was Friday's. We left for downtown at 7pm so we could have enough time to find parking. There was a t-wolves game that night as well. We find the LAST parking space in the lot behind First Ave but we still had 20 minutes before the doors open and an hour and 20 before the show started. We went across the street to Starbucks in Block E. We waited there before the DWI show last month. At 8:02 we go to the Entry... we are the first ones there. I felt like a dork but we got a table and I got my beer. Not 5 minutes later my buddies Shane and Mark came out. It was so good to see them, God knows I missed hanging out with the guys. Shane sat and talked to us for a good bit of time before the show. It was trippy watching the guys play again. It was cool catching up. Really cool. The show was great as well. But I didn't have any doubts. Rob ended up having a great time and kinda dug the music. After that I really think Rob understood why I was so eager to go. I can't wait until we can do that again. Shane has some shows coming up with his band, I am hoping we can make it to a few of those. And to make it an even greater night... I got to drink beer. Mmmmmm beer.

Saturday and Sunday weren’t all that exciting. We watched NASCAR and waited for the snow storm from hell to appear. And that it did. We got a foot and a half of nice heavy wet snow. But I didn’t have to work therefore I didn’t have to drive in all that. Mom did. She made it home in one piece.
